Evolve & FIT Pro Accessories — Genuine Parts That Keep Your Pump
Performing
Breast pump parts wear out. That's not a flaw — it's how the system is
designed to work. Silicone duckbill valves lose their elasticity after
weeks of daily compression. Backflow protector diaphragms degrade with
repeated sterilization. Tubing gets micro-cracks that affect suction
pressure. And flanges that fit perfectly at two weeks postpartum may feel
different as your body changes.
The difference between a pump that performs at the same level for two
years and one that seems to lose suction after a few months almost always
comes down to parts maintenance. Fresh valves, clean tubing, and properly
fitting flanges are what keep a hospital-grade pump performing at
hospital-grade standards.
This collection covers every genuine replacement part and accessory for
the
Hygeia FIT Pro
and the Hygeia Evolve pump systems — 29 products across six categories:
wear parts, structural components, flange funnels in 13 sizes (10mm
through 32mm), nipple shields, storage, and power supply. All parts are
genuine Hygeia replacements, made to the same BPA-free, phthalate-free
standards as the pumps themselves, and compatible with the full Evolve and
FIT Pro range.

Wear Parts — Replace Regularly
These parts directly create or protect suction. They degrade with normal
use and are the most common cause of reduced pump performance.
Structural Parts — Replace When Damaged
These parts form the pump assembly. They last longer than wear parts but
should be replaced if cracked, warped, or no longer sealing properly.
Flange Funnels — 13 Sizes from 10mm to 32mm
Flange funnels insert into the flange base and determine the size of the
opening that fits around your nipple. Hygeia carries the most complete
size range available in a single accessory store — from the smallest 10mm
up to the XL 32mm — which means moms with very small or very large nipple
diameters can get an accurate fit without adapters or workarounds.
Use the
Flange Sizing Guide
to measure correctly before ordering. Getting this right matters more than
any other part choice.

Nipple Shields
Nipple shields are thin silicone covers that fit over the nipple during
pumping or nursing. They're primarily used when direct latch is difficult
due to flat or inverted nipples, nipple soreness, or a significant size
difference between nipple and flange. Available in 15mm and 21mm.

When to Replace Your FIT Pro and Evolve Parts
Suction loss is the clearest sign something needs replacing — but catching
wear earlier keeps your pump working consistently rather than reacting to
performance drops mid-session. Here's the replacement timeline for each
part category.
Duckbill Valves — Every 4 to 8 Weeks
Duckbill valves are the single most common reason a pump starts
underperforming. The silicone petals that create the one-way seal lose
elasticity from repeated compression and sterilization, and milk residue
accelerates degradation even with thorough cleaning. Most moms who pump
daily should plan on replacing valves once a month as standard practice —
not when suction visibly drops, but as a scheduled maintenance step.
If your pump suddenly feels weaker and nothing else changed, check the
valves first. Pull the petals apart gently — if they don't spring back
immediately, they've lost their seal.
Replace valves here.
Backflow Protectors — Every 1 to 3 Months
The 3-piece backflow protector (housing, silicone diaphragm, and cap)
prevents milk from traveling back toward the pump motor. The silicone
diaphragm is the critical component — it creates the membrane seal.
Inspect it monthly for cloudiness, tackiness, tears, or any visible
deformation. If it doesn't sit flat in the housing or shows any surface
breakdown, replace the set. Keeping milk out of the tubing and motor
depends on this part functioning correctly.
Also replace the full set if you've had any instance of visible moisture
inside the tubing — that indicates the diaphragm has already failed.
Backflow Protector (2ct) — $14.99 .
Tubing — Every 3 to 6 Months
Tubing carries the pressure from the motor to the flange assembly.
Micro-cracks, cloudiness, and any yellow discolouration reduce pressure
efficiency and create hygiene risks. Check tubing monthly — hold it up to
a light source and look for cracks, particularly at the connector ends
where stress concentrates. If you notice condensation inside the tubing
during sessions, that's a sign of backflow protector failure rather than
the tubing itself, but inspect both when it happens.
Never try to rinse or wash tubing — moisture inside tubing causes mould.
If condensation appears, replace it immediately.
Replacement Tubing (2ct) — $19.99..
Flange Funnels — When Fit Changes or Damage Appears
Flanges don't have a fixed replacement cycle — they're replaced when your
fit changes or when the funnel shows visible damage. Your nipple size can
shift during early postpartum weeks, at different phases of the pumping
day, and as your supply establishes. If you start noticing nipple redness,
a white ring around the base of your nipple after pumping, or reduced
output despite strong motor function, re-measure and order the
correct size from the full range.
Flange funnels that are cracked, have visible stress marks at the neck, or
no longer seat firmly in the flange base should be replaced regardless of
fit. Hygeia carries 13 sizes from 10mm to 32mm — the widest range
available in a single store.
Locking Rings and Discs — When They No Longer Seal Tightly
Locking rings and discs secure the flange assembly and bottle connection.
They don't wear on a schedule but should be checked every few months for
hairline cracks or stripped threads. If any part of the assembly feels
loose during a session, inspect these components first.
Locking Rings (2ct) — $6.50
|
Locking Discs (2ct) — $6.50.
Flange Sizing for the FIT Pro and Evolve — Why It Matters and How to
Get It Right
Flange size is the most overlooked factor in pumping output, and it's
probably the most important one. A flange that's too small compresses the
nipple canal and restricts milk flow. One that's too large pulls in too
much areola tissue, creating friction and reducing suction efficiency. In
both cases the result is the same: less milk per session, more discomfort,
and a pump that appears to be underperforming when the real issue is fit.
The standard guidance is to measure your nipple diameter in millimeters —
just the nipple, not the surrounding areola — and add 2 to 4mm. So a 20mm
nipple diameter typically needs a 22mm to 24mm funnel. That said, fit also
depends on nipple shape, tissue flexibility, and whether the nipple has
any swelling during early postpartum weeks, so some adjustment is usually
needed.
What Size Comes With the FIT Pro
The
Hygeia FIT Pro
PAS kit includes 24mm and 28mm flange funnels. These two sizes cover a
broad starting range, but 24mm and 28mm are not the only sizes that fit
the FIT Pro flange base. All funnel sizes in this collection — from 10mm
through 32mm — are compatible with the standard Evolve and FIT Pro flange
base assembly.
Available Sizes in This Collection
- Extra small: 10mm, 11mm, 12mm, 13mm
- Small: 15mm, 17mm, 19mm, 21mm
- Medium: 24mm, 27mm, 28mm
- Large: 30mm
- Extra large: 32mm
Single funnels are $6.99. The 28mm size also comes as a 2-pack for $12.99
— useful if you're confident in your size and pump both sides
simultaneously. If you're unsure which size to start with, the
Flange Sizing Guidewalks through the measurement process, or you can book a 1:1 session with
an IBCLC through the Hygeia Baby App for a personalised fit assessment.
Signs Your Current Flange Size Is Wrong
- Nipple redness, blanching, or white ring at the base after pumping — likely too small
- Areola being pulled significantly into the tunnel during expression — likely too large
- Nipple rubbing the sides of the funnel during suction — too small
- Reduced output despite strong motor suction — often fit-related
- Discomfort or pain during expression — re-measure before assuming a pump fault
