Return Policy

Return Policy

Only products which remain sealed in their original packaging with safety seals intact may be returned. These seals read “Personal Hygiene Product. Not returnable if seal is broken”. Please note that returns are only allowed if requested within 30 days of product delivery.

Returns are authorized only after the customer pays a $75 restocking fee. Once payment is confirmed, a return label will be sent. The returned package will be inspected to ensure that the pump is still sealed in the original box with safety seals intact and that the pump meets specifications. If the product passes this quality inspection, we will credit the payment made by the insurance company or issue a refund to the customer (for non-insurance orders paid out-of-pocket).

To request a return, please contact our customer service team at 714-515-7571 extension #2 or by email at customer.service@hygeiahealth.com. Pumps returned without prior authorization by Hygeia will be scrapped, and no refund or credit will be made.

A very high percentage of issues are resolved over the phone when moms call in with questions about their pump. If you have an issue, please have your pump ready (including power cord & accessories) and call us at 714-515-7571, option #2.

Hygeia will authorize a replacement when the following conditions are met:

  1. Hygeia breast pumps units are warranted for one year from date of purchase only when purchased through Hygeia directly or an authorized reseller. Please note that we will require a proof of purchase if not purchased through Hygeia directly.
  2. The customer has called in with the pump and followed troubleshooting protocols over the phone with our customer care center.
  3. The pump performance is determined to warrant replacement under our warranty. The Hygeia warranty does not apply to defects resulting from any customer actions, such as mishandling and product abuse, dropping the pump, knocking the pump over, improper interfacing, operation outside of design limits, misapplication, improper repair, or unauthorized modification.

When the above conditions have been met, Hygeia will email you an RMA form that must be fully completed in order to start the replacement process. After we receive your completed form, Hygeia will send a replacement pump via FedEx Home Delivery and will also email you a prepaid return label to return your current pump as it is required. Hygeia will not provide a prepaid return label if it has been deemed not to be covered under warranty.

Limitations of warranty

The Hygeia warranty does not apply to defects resulting from any customer actions, such as mishandling and product abuse, dropping the pump, knocking the pump over, improper interfacing, operation outside of design limits, misapplication, improper repair, or unauthorized modification. No other warranties are expressed or implied. Hygeia specifically disclaims any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a specific purpose. Hygeia’s liability shall be limited to the actual purchase price of any defective unit or units of equipment to which a claim is made, and shall in no event include the customer’s lost profits or goodwill, or any other direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages whether on contract, tort or other legal theory.

Hygeia will not send a replacement without the above conditions being met. Hygeia must receive the defective product within 7 days of issued RMA.

It is your responsibility to package your pump appropriately so no damage will occur during transit (i.e. covered with bubble wrap, flexible film, and foam). If inadequate packaging is used and the product arrives damaged, the warranty will be void and replacement will be charged accordingly.

*Overnight delivery is available at an additional cost
